RE: Membership in VDMFA
Thank you so much for becoming a member of the Vernon and District Minor Football Association (VDMFA). We are pleased to have you on board and can’t wait to get to know you better. This membership has been granted because you registered your child for Tackle and/or Flag football this season. The payment of the football fees entitles you to receive one paid annual membership in the VDMFA. If there are other members of your household over the age of 19 (a spouse or significant other) that wish to become a member and participate in the governance of the VDMFA they may join the VDMFA by paying a $10 annual associate membership fee. Details on sign up and payment of this fee will be announced shortly.
The first order of business is that the VDMFA will be having our annual general meeting on January 18, 2023. The AGM will be held at Alexander’s Restaurant on Kalamalka Rd in Coldstream. The meeting with start at 6pm all members are welcome.
Additionally, the VDMFA board has many volunteer positions that need to be filled to ensure our success in the community. All positions are open for nominations; current positions and vacancies are as follows:
President – Devin Rodger (running)
Vice President – Vacant
Secretary – Christina Astin (running)
Treasurer – Heidi Astin (Running, but an additional person is needed to train under Heidi as its her last year)
Registrar – Leigha Parks (running)
Flag Football Coordinator – Vacant
Coaching Coordinator – Mark Budgen (running)
Media and Marketing Coordinator – Brett Fitzpatrick (running)
Director at large – Megan Mackus (running)
If you’d like to nominate someone, or yourself, please send them in via email no later January 10, 2023.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to participate in the AGM and provide your input into the governance of the VDMFA. We need your input!
