CHECK BACK SHORTLY FOR THE 2019 START DATE

Tackle Football begins in early July with practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Once the season begins, in September, there will also be a Saturday morning practice, with games on Sundays.

During the Tackle season (Summer-Fall) we will play teams from throughout the Okanagan Valley including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Kamloops, and Salmon Arm.  Together, we comprise the Interior conference of the BC Community Football Association.

Players will need to travel to many of the above cities for games on Sundays.

Tackle Football at the minor league level in the Interior Conference is almost identical to that played by the pros; with the exception that we play with 9-person teams (vs. 12-man teams). This is intentional to afford each player the most play-time.  Every player on a team will get to  minimum of 10 plays per game.  All of the equipment for the Tackle Program is made available on loan to each player as part of the season.

Tackle Football Programs are available to all players (boys & girls) ages 8 - 18. Teams are based on age groups, as follows:

  • 8-9 years            Atoms
  • 10-11 years        Pee-Wee
  • 12-13 years        Junior Bantam
  • 14 -15 years       Bantam
  • 16 - 18 years      Midget

Age is determined at the time of Registration; however, at the Atom level, players must turn 8 by December 31 of each season.

Football Canada has recently ruled that any player who plays high school football cannot play community football and vice versa. We are actively working to change this rule.

PRACTICES ARE: TUES & THURS EVENINGS FROM 6PM - 8PM - LOCATION TBA
